Who checks the checkers?

Here I am again, I am a bit curious and by now getting to a point of being TOTALLY ANGREY!!!! in regards to this laser surgery as I could say quite a mouth full but won’t concerning laser surgery! and the dr. that ruined my eye site….I only would hope that he gets to a point in time that he and his practice CAN’T be left a lone…. does the FDA or someone in the Govt EVER REVIEW ONES QUALIFICATIONS?

    Your local state board is in charge. If you have a complaint, you would file it with them. If a doctor logs a sufficient # of complaints, the board will look into it. With medical procedure, doctors should discuss your risks, benefits and alternatives, as well, as any possible complications or side effects.

    Doctors are regulated by state medical boards. If you think you were mistreated, complain to your state board. They will investigate the issue and, if the doctor is at fault, force him to take corrective action, limit his licence or even remove him from practice.
